Location

The Vermont Photographic Workshop is located in Bennington, Vermont, at the Bennington Center for the Arts. This unique facility combines both the visual and performing arts within one complex. Located along Vermont Route 9 to the west of Old Bennington, the Center's five continuous spaces appear as a series of white barns, topped with a Vermont slate roof. The Center provides spacious new teaching facilities with 12,000 square feet of exhibit space in six galleries, and a 350-seat theater with a scene shop, stage lighting and sound system.

Bennington is a quintessential small New England town nestled between the Taconic & Green Mountains in the Southwestern corner of Vermont. It is just north of the Berkshires in Massachusetts and within an hour of Albany, New York. Bennington and its surrounding communities are rich in the arts, history and outdoor recreational opportunities. Covered bridges and beautiful old barns, green mountains and lush valleys, beautiful vistas of the area's rivers, lakes and streams, pristine state parks and national forest all provide endless photographic opportunities.
