MealsFor your convenience, we will make meals available for you on the Workshop grounds. This allows you to focus on your work instead of looking around for a restaurant, and enables you to informally continue the discussion of the day with your fellow students. A Welcome Banquet on Sunday evening will set the mood for the rest of the week. Our own chef will prepare one splendid meal after another for you – don’t plan on losing weight while you’re our guest. Vermont is known for its hearty breakfasts, and we uphold that tradition here. Fruits in season, breads and bagels, eggs and breakfast meats, pancakes, French toast, even cereals and granolas – you’ll find something to suit your whim. Lunches follow the rule of “S’s” – simple, savory, and satisfying sandwiches, soups and salads. Evening dinners are guaranteed to please because you’ll select your entrée at lunch from a wide choice of delicious possibilities. Wednesday and Thursday evenings will be left open: by then, you may have discovered places you want to photograph, or perhaps you’d like to share dinner with a new friend. On Friday evening we celebrate all our week’s achievements with a cookout. Meals are served under the tent or in the conference room, depending on weather. Beverages and snacks are available throughout the day. We will happily provide vegetarian fare for those who request it. We encourage you to participate in our meal plan, but we don’t require this. You will find that excellent food shared by people who share your passion for photography is a great recipe for a meaningful workshop experience. Rates for the meal plan are still under development, but should be approximately $250 for the week.
